The icon of our attention in this spotlight post is Girl's Night In.

Birthing Process

Oof. I quit drinking and doing cocaine. I couldn't run from myself with Nights Out anymore.

I've smoked weed throughout my entire recovery, and sure, some will argue that's not sober, but for me, it's supportive.

I sit with my thoughts, even the scary ones, and I write and meditate and create.

I made this painting, Girl’s Night In, as a reflection on learning to love your own company, especially sober. California sober here, just to reiterate.

We live in a world of such hyper-consumption, whether alcohol, food, shopping, etc, that when I got sober I didn’t really know how to stop the craving for more—more of anything that would ease the discomfort of my existence.

I eventually found my antidote to this hyper-consumption and running from myself in creative practices—mostly painting and pole dancing. And writing. Lots of fucking writing.

Nights at home, alone, have been deeply healing. They give me space to reflect on the experiences I live, to process the emotions I feel, and to express the inspiration I get.

Nights at home have led me to learn so much about who I am, what I want, how to take care of myself and they have given me permission to be myself.

There’s a weird stigma around being alone and I just want to share another perspective.

Being alone is the furthest thing from lonely when ya love your own company.

Hope you have a Girl’s Night In for yourself soon.

*Booking by artist approval ONLY, not all requests will be fulfilled!
Please submit a Collector Questionnaire through the booking link for consideration.

Explore options, have your questions answered, receive tailored interior styling direction and get a visual representation of the artwork in your space before deciding to purchase a new painting!

I love being able to offer free design + styling services, but I actually won’t do it for everyone.

To save both of us time and make sure we’re on the same page, I require a booking form where you share background info about the potential art pieces you want styled, your goals for your space and what’s keeping you from that, if anything.

If you’re frustrated with not feeling at home in your space, in what should be your little slice of heaven here on earth, and you’re ready for the interior elevation now, then we move forward to talk more in depth together for your design direction + styling insights.

Otherwise, if it’s a style issue that can wait, we actually won’t work together on a call or with a C-DAK until you’re ready.
