Miracles
Not going to lie... I have a lot of miracles happen in my life—I'm absolutely positive that white privilege plays a role here in how opportunities and connections happen, but I do also heavily credit some forces beyond the visible eye with many of the experiences that come my way. I'm more so talking about those unexplainable, perfectly timed things that basically fall out of the clear blue sky, especially when it's specifically what you've asked for, whether money, love or a free coffee. Let me elaborate (or don't, whatever.)
Backstory
This was painted in April of 2024 at a networking event, just a couple months after I started live painting.
Right before this painting gig, my mom was in town from 2500 miles away in South Carolina. I'm really blessed to have supportive parents, even if I do often make them uncomfortable by challenging their perceptions about life (lol—sorry mom and dad, this is just how my brain works, I literally can't help it).
We spent 4 or so incredible mother-daughter days throughout San Diego. Since live painting was such a new path for me at the time, she was dying to watch me paint at a gig in person. I, unfortunately, didn't have anything booked during her visit. But, of course, I was already scheduled for an event literally the day after she was flying out. She spent quite a few moments mentioning how she wished she would be able to come watch. We just accepted that it would happen one day because the live painting journey was just beginning, and we focused instead on enjoying our days together in the SoCal sun.

Then wouldn't ya know it... two days before she left town, an artist friend on Instagram reached out to see if I could cover her live painting gig the next day because she got sick.
And that’s on synchronicity!!! That is the kinda miracle I'm referring to. The sick artist had no clue my mom was in town and begging to see me live paint.
This manifestation stuff is no joke, put your desires out there and let the universe bring them to you.
This life is magic. If we allow it.
Motivations + Interpretations
Paradise Embodied is a whisper from the plants to us, reminding us paradise is here in the present moment.
Okay so, I lived in my own personal hell for a long time. Here’s how I got out:
Let me start by saying, I didn’t know what brought me joy until a few years ago. I spent my teenage and early 20s too shy to connect with people, in chronic pain from health issues, had substance abuse problems, I could go on. I felt lost, lonely and stuck.
I started practicing yoga (asanas) when i was 18—I liked the movement and relaxation. It was one of my first big clues to the healing journey. Then I dove deeper and got my 200-hour certification to teach the next year. That course opened me up to …a lot…. (like the different planes of existence and some intro into how to touch them. If you know, you know.)
Yoga taught me how important self reflection is, turning inwards & being with our fears, realizing that we’re much bigger than them, connecting with something greater than ourselves, and countless other perspective-altering things.
Since then, for the past several years, I had been under the impression that turning inward is where our healing is, but that’s actually misguided.
Turning inwards is one of the beginning steps. Yes, a lot of realizations & clarity about who we are as people, or souls, will come in the moments of calm, quiet reflection.
But the next piece that no one is really talking about is: embodiment.
In the hard moments of our life, we get the opportunity to integrate and embody the higher version of ourselves—the one we dream of being.
When we embody our next level—a new version of ourselves—we start to unlock new experiences.
THAT’S WHERE OUR HEALING IS!!! (But get ready for a whole lot lol.) Embodiment of my higher potential is how I finally stopped feeling like shit. This existence is such a mental game.
Life shifts dramatically and healing happens quickly with embodiment work. It's all in how we identify with beliefs / conditioning that subsequently drive our decisions and actions.
Paradise Embodied wasn’t painted with a backstory in mind. I simply thought the flowers were pretty—but when I went to name the painting, I was reflecting on the unapologetic expression of color and organic growth of this striking flower. It reminded me of how healing it is to live in a more present and embodied state.

To save both of us time and make sure we’re on the same page, I require a booking form where you share background info about the potential art pieces you want styled, your goals for your space and what’s keeping you from that, if anything.
If you’re frustrated with not feeling at home in your space, in what should be your little slice of heaven here on earth, and you’re ready for the interior elevation now, then we move forward to talk more in depth together for your design direction + styling insights.
Otherwise, if it’s a style issue that can wait, we actually won’t work together on a call or with a C-DAK until you’re ready.
