I apparently don't understand sarcasm... Will I get evicted?

Rent is late, but what's more important than paying your bills on time?

I created a magazine called "Feed Your Soul" and here's a chaotic look at how I took that shit a little too seriously this month.

Like I don't think you understand....(pls do not pity this post. just sharing a laughable reality of being an artist / entrepreneur!! i’m literally not sweating it because it’s all working out, idc)

It’s the 6th of the month. My rent is late (again). My car payment is late. I often eat because my friends, sister and boyfriend feed me.

And YET, I just spent a precious $12 (that I should use for gas), to buy more capacity on my website to send emails to my subscribers this morning. Because I have shit to say and art to get into your homes and lives to impact through creativity. like right NOW.

I value the necessity of art THAT much. (Does it make you feel special that I'd rather talk to you collectors here than eat food that I love oh so much?? Prob not the healthiest move, but the creativity possesses me.)

We need loud, rebellious unapologetic ladies today more than ever. I'm convinced that, us women, owning our power is of the UTMOST immediate importance, that it's the only way we're going to make it through this life in a healthy way and, so, sharing about this truly feels more dire than getting a job to have my bills paid. I have plenty of work to support myself and I know the right people are finally starting to find me, so I'm (mostly) not sweating the late payments right now.

I'm at a point where I truly can’t work for someone else anymore. The entrepreneurs that get it, get it.

Making shit happen for the good of our collective is so much more important to me than paying bills on time, oops, (I still want to pay them, don’t get me wrong) but when you have such a strong purpose for living everyday, sharing work that’s potentially life-changing for people, and you've stuck with a vision for several years that you KNOW is on the brink of major breakthrough, sometimes the bills have to wait and acquire a few late fees.

I'm totally okay with that. Because I know what I'm building is actually fucking historic, a legacy of my lineage, it's what my ancestors weren't allowed to express, it's healing the alcoholism in my family and saving lives, it's giving the women around me our voices and freedom back, and even more.

Prioritizing this work is worth risking some of my immediate safety. I don't even care. I love sharing this shit so much.

The art and words here are more than entertainment and pretty little things. Sure, they're those things, but this work is really about liberation of the feminine expression at its core. We have to more intentionally integrate the softness, sensitivity and sensuality of our inherent being into the world around us if we want any chance of healing from the hellhole that is currently planet earth.

As scary and embarrassing as it is to share my soul so vulnerably, it's the greatest blessing, honor and privilege to carry a purpose so full of passion and belief. I love creating weird art and words for the wild women. Thanks for being here <3

Be the wild woman with statement-making fine art in her space.
